Double Gold at 2021 Amador County Fair 

This is a wonderful example of Calaveras Cabernet. Bordeaux blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec and 3% Merlot. The first thing you’ll notice about this wine is the rich garnet red color. It is warm and inviting on the nose with vanilla, cinnamon, dark fruit and tobacco. Bright and bold, yet true to Cabernet character, this wine is smooth and mouth-filling with a rich aftertaste of boysenberry. Nice and soft tannins. Only 40 cases were made.
