We made our first Merlot in 1984, starting with De Cascabel vineyards in El Dorado County. We made our first Calaveras County Merlot in 1996. Since 2011, we have made our Merlot from Rolleri Vineyards, just down the road from the winery. Romy Rolleri is a vineyard perfectionist & the grapes he sends us are beauties! Rich & complex with vanilla, black fruit, & dark cherry flavors.
