The Alicante Bouschet ripens late and loves hot, dry regions. These grapes were harvested from a 104 year old vineyard lovingly tended by Les and Chris Martin in Valley Springs, Calaveras County. The vines are trained in the old Italian style, little trees that grow low to the ground. From the first sip, juicy raspberries and blueberries explodes on the palate with subtle smoky tannins and finishes with ripe plums and black cherries.
